Melaka: Two special initiatives will be enjoyed by the people of Melaka in celebrating the upcoming Hari Raya Aidilfitri. Melaka chief minister Datuk Seri Ab Rauf Yusoh announced these initiatives aimed at facilitating a joyous celebration for the community.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, the first initiative involves the provision of special transportation for students born in Melaka who study in other states in the Peninsula and wish to return home to celebrate. “We will announce more information on this and which party will manage the transportation in the near future. We hope it can make it easier for students from Melaka to return to their hometown to celebrate,” he said. This announcement was made at a press conference following the Melaka government’s monthly assembly for March 2025 at the grand ballroom of the Melaka International Trade Centre (MITC), Ayer Keroh.
Meanwhile, the second initiative announced by Ab Rauf is the provision of free parking from the upcoming 1 to 7 Syawal. This initiative will cover all parking lot areas under the administration of the local authority (PBT). “I hope that this initiative can benefit all the people of Melaka and bring happiness alongside their loved ones in celebrating Aidilfitri,” he added. Earlier, more than 2,000 civil servants attended the monthly assembly along with the state leadership.
