Two Brothers with Honorific Titles Released on Bail Amid RM10 Million Investigation

Putrajaya:Two corporate figures, brothers titled Datuk Seri and Datuk Wira, have been released on bail by the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) following their detainment for investigations into alleged abuse of power and financial irregularities involving an investment totaling approximately RM10 million.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, the individual holding the Datuk Wira title was released on Monday after completing his five-day remand period. His brother, who holds the title of Datuk Seri, was released today after his remand period was extended by two days.

The men, in their 40s and 50s, were initially remanded on October 1 after presenting themselves at the MACC headquarters in Putrajaya on September 30 to provide statements.

In the course of the investigation, the MACC seized assets including 15 luxury cars valued at about RM31 million, 12 high-powered motorcycles worth approximately RM5 million, five luxury watches, three bracelets, and around RM30,000 in cash. Additionally, two personal bank accounts containing roughly RM2 million were frozen.

MACC Chief Commissioner Datuk Seri Abd Halim Aman confirmed these developments when contacted.
