TVETMARA Graduate Employability Rate Surpasses 98 Percent, Highlights Effective Industry Collaboration

Kuala lumpur: The employability rate of TVETMARA graduates exceeding 98 percent underscores the success of strategic collaborations with industry in ensuring that the training provided remains relevant and aligns with labor market demands, according to Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Dr. Ahmad Zahid Hamidi.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, Ahmad Zahid emphasized that this achievement is a result of transformative efforts in skills education through the rebranding of TVETMARA, which places a strong emphasis on aligning training standards with future economic needs. He noted, "This is not merely a change in name, but a major shift in ensuring that the content, standards, and quality of training truly meet the demands of industry and the future economy."

The Deputy Prime Minister made these remarks during the Persada MARA Gala Night held at Dewan Merdeka, World Trade Centre Kuala Lumpur (WTCKL). The event was also attended by Chief Secretary to the Government Tan Sri Shamsul Azri Abu Bakar, Deputy Rural and Regional Development Minister Datuk Rubiah Wang, and Majlis Amanah Rakyat (MARA) chairman Datuk Dr. Asyraf Wajdi Dusuki.

Ahmad Zahid, who also serves as the Rural and Regional Development Minister, articulated the government's vision to cultivate not just job seekers, but a generation that is competitive, capable of leadership, and able to create opportunities. He stated, "We must produce technopreneurs and opportunity creators for the country's economic growth."

He urged industry partners to continue collaborating to open opportunities, guide, and train the new generation to not only be prepared for future challenges but to master them. He further stressed the need for MARA's direction to evolve from being an institution that merely provides opportunities to becoming an ecosystem that builds strength.

In a related development, Ahmad Zahid lauded the excellence of MARA educational institutions, particularly Maktab Rendah Sains MARA (MRSM), for maintaining top positions in the 2025 Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) results. He highlighted the success of the MRSM Ulul Albab model, which produced 221 students who memorized all 30 juz' of the Quran and achieved straight As, demonstrating that excellence in science and Quranic studies can progress concurrently.

"We want to shape future leaders who are knowledgeable, of strong character, and capable of leading the nation wisely in an increasingly challenging world," Ahmad Zahid concluded.
