TSG Sets Sights on Podium Finishes and Jerseys at Tour of Sharjah

Sharjah: Continental cycling team Terengganu Cycling Team (TSG) are targeting two podium finishes and three jerseys at the Tour of Sharjah in the United Arab Emirates (UAE), scheduled from Jan 23 to 27. Chief Operating Officer Nasiruddin Wan Idrus detailed the team's ambitions for the Union Cycliste Internationale (UCI) 2.2-rated race, emphasizing their strategic goals for the upcoming competition.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, six riders will spearhead TSG's challenge. The team includes Mohamad Nur Aiman Mohd Zariff, Nur Amirul Fakhruddin, Muhammad and Shahmir Aiman Abd Halim, Adne Van Engelen, Vadim Pronskiy, and Pierre Barbier. These cyclists will tackle five stages, covering a total distance of approximately 502.96 kilometers.

Nasiruddin highlighted the team's past performance, stating, "Last year, TSG managed to win the third and fourth stages of the same race. Therefore, this year we are hoping to achieve even better results by winning three jerseys and securing two podium finishes." This year, TSG's roster features 15 riders, including five new additions from Great Britain, Spain, the Netherlands, and Australia, enhancing their competitive edge.
