Trooping of the Colours Ceremony Showcases Military Loyalty and Patriotism

Putrajaya: The Trooping of the Colours ceremony, organized by the Malaysian Armed Forces (MAF) to mark the official birthday of the Yang di-Pertuan Agong, is a testament to the MAF's steadfast loyalty to the King and the nation.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, Communications Minister Datuk Fahmi Fadzil emphasized the importance of this military tradition in fostering patriotism and honoring the nation's history, alongside the sacrifices made to protect its sovereignty. Fahmi extended his congratulations to the 148 officers and 1,192 personnel from all three branches of the MAF involved in the successful execution of the ceremony.

"May all members of the MAF continue to be blessed with strength, good health, and protection in carrying out their duty to safeguard the country's peace and sovereignty," he expressed in a Facebook post. Fahmi was among the attendees at the ceremonial event, which was graced by King His Majesty Sultan Ibrahim at Dataran Pahlawan Negara in Putrajaya, and also attended by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim, Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Fadillah Yusof, and Defence Minister Datuk Seri Mohamed Khaled Nordin.

The ceremony is traditionally held three times during the five-year reign of each Malay Ruler appointed as the Yang di-Pertuan Agong-in the first, third, and final years of their reign. It also serves as a manifestation of the armed forces' oath and pledge of undivided loyalty to the King and the nation.
