Kuala lumpur: Traffic flow on all major expressways nationwide is reported to be smooth and under control as of 9.30 pm today, following minor congestion during the afternoon and early evening.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, a spokesperson for the Malaysian Highway Authority (LLM) stated, "Traffic is currently smooth in all directions. However, we expect the number of vehicles to increase again after midnight tonight." The increase is anticipated as users aim to benefit from a 50 per cent toll discount and to avoid the daytime congestion.

Furthermore, LLM highlighted an increase in traffic in several hotspot areas, although the overall situation remains manageable. The government announced the toll discount in celebration of the 2026 Chinese New Year, effective from 12.01 midnight on Feb 14 until 11.59 pm on Feb 15.
