Kuala lumpur: The Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia) has issued a warning of thunderstorms, heavy rain, and strong winds expected to affect six states and the Federal Territory of Labuan until 2 pm today.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, MetMalaysia released a statement indicating that the adverse weather is forecast to impact Kerian, Bagan Datuk, and Hilir Perak in Perak; and Sabak Bernam and Kuala Selangor in Selangor.

The statement further detailed similar weather conditions expected in Jempol and Tampin in Negeri Sembilan; Alor Gajah and Jasin in Melaka; and Kota Tinggi, Johor.

In Sabah, the affected areas are forecasted to be the Interior (Kuala Penyu and Beaufort), the West Coast (Papar, Putatan, Penampang, Kota Kinabalu, Tuaran, and Kota Belud), and Kudat.
