Kota kinabalu: The stepmother of Sabah Youth Development, Sports Advancement and Creative Economy Minister Datuk Nizam Abu Bakar Titingan, Datin Sharah Yeoh Abdullah, has passed away at the age of 79. She died at Queen Elizabeth I Hospital in Kota Kinabalu yesterday evening.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, Nizam shared the news of Sharah's passing in a Facebook post, mentioning that she was affectionately known as Oma and breathed her last at 7.41 pm. He expressed his hope for divine mercy on her soul and smooth proceedings for her funeral arrangements.

Sharah was born on March 8, 1947, and was also known as the aunt of Malaysian National News Agency (Bernama) chairman Datuk Seri Wong Chun Wai.
