Kuala lumpur: The Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia) has issued a warning of thunderstorms, heavy rain, and strong winds in seven states and the federal territory of Labuan until 5 pm today.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, the areas expected to be affected include the district of Baling in Kedah and several districts in Perak, namely Manjung, Kinta, Perak Tengah, Kampar, Bagan Datuk, Hilir Perak, Batang Padang, and Muallim.

The warning extends to Terengganu, with Setiu, Kuala Nerus, Hulu Terengganu, Kuala Terengganu, Marang, Dungun, and Kemaman likely to experience similar adverse weather conditions. In Pahang, the areas of Tanah Tinggi Cameron, Lipis, Jerantut, and Kuantan are on alert. Selangor's districts of Sabak Bernam, Kuala Selangor, Hulu Selangor, and Gombak are also expected to be affected.

In Johor, Kluang, Mersing, Pontian, Kulai, Kota Tinggi, and Johor Bahru are under warning as well. Meanwhile, in Sabah, the Interior areas of Kuala Penyu, Beaufort, and Tambunan, along with the West Coast, Sandakan (Beluran), and Kudat, are anticipated to experience severe weather conditions.
