Thunderstorms and Heavy Rain Forecasted for Kuala Lumpur and Eight States

Kuala lumpur: The Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia) has issued a warning for thunderstorms, heavy rain, and strong winds expected to hit Kuala Lumpur, Putrajaya, and eight states until 4 pm today.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, the alert extends to several regions, including Kelantan, where areas such as Jeli, Kuala Krai, and Gua Musang are on the list. Terengganu is also affected, with warnings in Besut, Hulu Terengganu, Dungun, and Kemaman, as well as Pahang, covering Cameron Highlands, Raub, Bentong, Pekan, and Rompin.

In Selangor, districts including Hulu Selangor, Gombak, Petaling, Kuala Langat, Hulu Langat, and Sepang have been cautioned. The adverse weather conditions are also anticipated in parts of Negeri Sembilan, specifically Jelebu, Seremban, and Port Dickson, and in Johor, affecting Batu Pahat, Kluang, Mersing, Pontian, Kulai, Kota Tinggi, and Johor Bahru.

In Sabah, areas such as Sipitang, Kuala Penyu, Beaufort, Tambunan, Papar, Penampang, Ranau, and Kota Marudu are expected to experience these conditions. Sarawak is not exempt, with Kuching, Serian, Samarahan, Sri Aman, Betong, Kapit, and Limbang included in the warning.
