Kuala Lumpur:Thunderstorms, heavy rain, and strong winds are expected to affect all states across Malaysia until 7 pm today, as reported by the Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia).
According to BERNAMA News Agency, MetMalaysia issued an advisory at 4 pm today, detailing that the adverse weather conditions would impact all areas in Perlis, Kedah, Penang, and Perak, as well as Kuala Lumpur and Putrajaya.
The warning also extends to Machang and Pasir Puteh in Kelantan and areas in Terengganu, including Besut, Setiu, and Hulu Terengganu. In Pahang, the districts of Jerantut, Pekan, and Rompin are expected to be affected.
In Selangor, the affected regions include Sabak Bernam, Kuala Selangor, Klang, Gombak, Petaling, Kuala Langat, and Sepang. Negeri Sembilan will experience similar conditions in Seremban, Port Dickson, Rembau, and Tampin. The advisory also covers Alor Gajah and Jasin in Melaka, and several areas in Johor, such as Tangkak, Muar, Batu Pahat, and Mersing.
Meanwhile, in Sarawak, the forecast affects Sarikei (Maradong and Sarikei), Mukah (Tanjung Manis, Daro, and Mukah), Sibu (Selangau), Kuching, Kapit (Kapit and Belaga), and Limbang.
In Sabah, the areas expected to experience these weather conditions include the West Coast Division (Ranau and Kota Belud), the Interior Division (Tambunan, Sook, Keningau, Sipitang, Tenom, and Pensiangan), Tawau (Tawau, Kunak, Lahad Datu, and Kalabakan), Sandakan (Kinabatangan, Paitan, Sandakan, Beluran, and Telupid), and Kudat (Kota Marudu and Pitas).
