Thunderstorms and Heavy Rain Expected Across Multiple Malaysian States Until 6 PM

Kuala lumpur: The Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia) has issued a warning alerting residents of impending thunderstorms, heavy rain, and strong winds across several regions in Peninsular Malaysia, Sabah, and Sarawak, expected to continue until 6 PM today.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, the areas facing the brunt of these weather conditions include Langkawi in Kedah; Kinta, Perak Tengah, Kampar, Hilir Perak, Batang Padang, and Muallim in Perak; and Tumpat, Pasir Mas, Kota Bharu, Jeli, Tanah Merah, Bachok, Machang, Pasir Puteh, and Kuala Krai in Kelantan. Meanwhile, in Terengganu, Besut, Setiu, Kuala Nerus, and Kemaman are expected to be affected.

The warning also encompasses several regions in Pahang such as Cameron Highlands, Lipis, Raub, Bentong, Temerloh, Kuantan, Bera, Pekan, and Rompin, as well as Hulu Selangor and Gombak in Selangor. In Negeri Sembilan, the affected areas are Jempol and Tampin, while Tangkak, Segamat, Kluang, Mersing, and Kota Tinggi in Johor are also on alert.

In Sabah, the areas of concern include Sipitang, Tenom, Beaufort, Keningau, and Tambunan in the Interior; Papar, Putatan, Penampang, Kota Kinabalu, and Tuaran on the West Coast; Lahad Datu in Tawau; and Kinabatangan in Sandakan. For Sarawak, the warning applies to Tatau and Sebauh in Bintulu, Subis in Miri, as well as Limbang.
