Kuala lumpur: The Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia) has issued a warning of thunderstorms, heavy rain, and strong winds expected in the Federal Territories of Kuala Lumpur and Labuan, along with 10 other states, until 12 midnight today.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, adverse weather conditions are expected to hit Perlis and Kedah, specifically affecting Langkawi, Kubang Pasu, Kota Setar, Pokok Sena, Padang Terap, and Pendang.
In Perak, the weather warning has been issued for Hilir Perak, Batang Padang, and Muallim, while the entire state of Kelantan is under alert.
Besut and Setiu in Terengganu, as well as Cameron Highlands, Lipis, Raub, Jerantut, and Bentong in Pahang, are also expected to experience severe weather.
In Selangor, areas such as Sabak Bernam, Hulu Selangor, Gombak, and Hulu Langat are on the watch list, alongside Jelebu in Negeri Sembilan.
MetMalaysia has also issued warnings for several regions in Sarawak, including Kuching, Serian, Samarahan, Sri Aman, Betong, Sibu (Kanowit and Selangau), Mukah (Dalat and Mukah), Kapit, Bintulu, Miri, and Limbang.
In Sabah, the affected areas include Pedalaman, Pantai Barat (Papar, Putatan, Penampang, Kota Kinabalu, and Ranau), Tawau, as well as Sandakan (Tongod and Telupid).
