Kangar: The Raja Muda of Perlis, Tuanku Syed Faizuddin Putra Jamalullail, emphasized that the strength of a state should not be determined solely by physical development but also by fostering a knowledgeable, integrity-driven, united, and self-reliant society. He urged the people of Perlis to empower themselves with a competitive spirit and a first-class mindset, coupled with strong values of integrity, to ensure the state continues to produce a progressive, knowledgeable, and resilient society capable of facing contemporary challenges.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, Tuanku Syed Faizuddin highlighted that the state's development must be comprehensive, covering the welfare of the people, education, healthcare, economy, and public facilities to ensure that progress benefits all levels of society fairly and inclusively. He also underscored the importance of strengthening unity among the people, preserving customs and manners, and instilling noble values in community life to maintain peace, harmony, and prosperity in Perlis.
The sentiments were expressed by Tuanku Syed Faizuddin in his loyalty speech representing the Perlis royal family during the state investiture ceremony in conjunction with the 83rd birthday celebration of the Raja of Perlis, Tuanku Syed Sirajuddin Jamalullail, at Istana Arau. The Raja Muda also prayed for continued blessings of good health and peace of mind for Tuanku Syed Sirajuddin and the Raja Perempuan of Perlis, Tuanku Tengku Fauziah Tengku Abdul Rashid.
Tuanku Syed Faizuddin Putra Jamalullail led the list of 24 award recipients at the investiture ceremony, receiving the Darjah Kebesaran Seri Setia Syed Sirajuddin Jamalullail (S.S.S.J), which carries the title Datuk Seri Diraja. The Raja Puan Muda of Perlis, Tuanku Dr Hajah Lailatul Shahreen Akashah Khalil, and the Tengku Puteri Mahkota of Perlis, Datuk Seri Datin Paduka Hajah Sharifah Fazira Tuanku Syed Sirajuddin Jamalullail, were also conferred the S.S.S.J. Meanwhile, Chief Secretary to the Government Tan Sri Shamsul Azri Abu Bakar received the Darjah Seri Paduka Mahkota Perlis (S.P.M.P), granting him the title Datuk Seri.
