Thunderstorm Warning Issued For 10 Malaysian States Until 6 PM

Kuala lumpur: The Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia) has issued a thunderstorm, heavy rain, and strong winds warning for 10 states until 6 pm today.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, the affected areas are Perlis; multiple regions in Kedah including Padang Terap, Kuala Muda, Sik, Baling, Kulim, and Bandar Baharu; and several regions in Perak such as Kerian, Larut, Matang, and Selama, Hulu Perak, Kuala Kangsar, Kinta, Kampar, Batang Padang, and Muallim.

The warning extends to Kelantan covering Pasir Mas, Jeli, Tanah Merah, Machang, Pasir Puteh, Kuala Krai, and Gua Musang, as well as the entire state of Terengganu. In Pahang, the areas impacted include Cameron Highlands, Lipis, Raub, Jerantut, Bentong, Kuantan, Pekan, and Rompin.

In Selangor, only Hulu Selangor is reported to be affected, while in Johor, the warning pertains to Batu Pahat, Kluang, Mersing, Pontian, Kulai, Kota Tinggi, and Johor Bahru.

For Sarawak, the alert includes Kuching (Bau and Kuching), Betong (Saratok and Kabong), Sarikei, Sibu (Sibu and Selangau), Mukah, Bintulu, Miri (Subis, Beluru, Miri, and Marudi), and Limbang.

In Sabah, areas such as the Interior (Sipitang, Tenom, Kuala Penyu, Beaufort, and Tambunan), West Coast, Sandakan (Beluran), and Kudat are expected to experience the adverse weather conditions.
