Seremban: Barisan Nasional (BN) emerged as the dominant force in the 16th Negeri Sembilan state election by securing 18 out of the 36 seats in the State Legislative Assembly, as announced by the Election Commission (EC) today.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, Pakatan Harapan (PH) managed to win 11 seats, while Perikatan Nasional (PN) took seven. EC chairman Datuk Seri Ramlan Harun revealed these official final results at 11.57 pm during a media conference. He reported that 646,084 voters, accounting for 72.64 percent of the total registered electorate, including early, postal, and ordinary voters, participated in the state election.

Ramlan expressed satisfaction with the overall conduct of polling, highlighting that registered voters were able to exercise their democratic rights without any incidents. A total of 103 candidates contested for the 36 available seats. In contrast, the 2023 state election saw PH winning 17 seats, BN securing 14, and PN claiming five.
