Kuala lumpur: The Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia) has issued a warning of thunderstorms, heavy rain and strong winds affecting five states until 6 pm today. MetMalaysia, in a statement, said thunderstorms, heavy rain and strong winds are expected in Perak (Kinta, Kampar and Batang Padang) and Rompin, Pahang.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, the same warning has also been issued for Negeri Sembilan (Seremban) and Johor (Tangkak, Segamat, Muar, Batu Pahat, Pontian, Kulai and Johor Bahru). In Sarawak, the areas involved are Kuching, Serian, Samarahan, Mukah (Daro and Matu), Kapit (Song), Bintulu (Tatau and Sebauh), Miri and Limbang.
