TH’s ‘Cilik-Cilik Dah Celik 2026’ Engages 100 Young Families Across Terengganu, Kelantan, and Pahang

Kuala lumpur: The Cilik-Cilik Dah Celik 2026 programme, orchestrated by Lembaga Tabung Haji (TH) in collaboration with the Credit Counselling and Debt Management Agency (AKPK), has successfully attracted 100 young families from the regions of Terengganu, Kelantan, and Pahang.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, the programme, initially launched last year, has shown promising outcomes based on financial performance indicators. This indicates the efficacy of the modules and interventions applied. TH Group managing director and chief executive officer, Mustakim Mohamad, highlighted that 92.3 per cent of the families who participated in the Klang Valley pilot programme consistently saved, with half of them surpassing RM1,000 in savings within a span of 100 days.

Mustakim elaborated that participants in the previous year's pilot programme achieved notable results. Over half of them managed to save more than RM1,000 within 100 days, and 80 per cent demonstrated positive changes in financial attitudes, knowledge, and behaviour. This success has encouraged TH to extend the programme to the East Coast, aiming to nurture a financially literate generation and help the community establish a strong financial foundation in preparation for haj.

The programme is designed with interactive learning modules to aid parents and children in systematic financial planning, critical spending assessment, and disciplined financial decision-making. Mustakim emphasized that starting a savings habit and practicing sound financial management are essential in preparing for haj.

The Cilik-Cilik Dah Celik 2026 programme maintains its format with six financial literacy modules covering mindset transformation, financial planning, cash flow management, wealth creation, protection against financial scams, and debt management. Participants engage in workshops, financial simulations, online learning, gamification, and receive continuous monitoring of savings. TH also focuses on financial safety by educating on scam identification, personal data protection, and reporting fraud attempts to authorities.

Participant Nur Nabilah Alias expressed that the programme significantly aided her in managing finances more effectively and stabilizing her family's financial footing. She underscored the importance of such programmes in fostering a financially literate generation prepared for the future, hopeful that the acquired knowledge and lessons will yield lasting benefits.
