Three-Year-Old Boy Dies After Falling From Victoria Bridge

Enggor: A three-year-old boy died after falling from Victoria Bridge in Enggor, Kuala Kangsar, yesterday afternoon. Sungai Siput district police chief Superintendent A.W. Charan said police were alerted to the incident by a member of the public at 6.40 pm.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, Charan stated that the victim was believed to have been walking across the bridge holding his 41-year-old father's hand when he reportedly fell through a hole in the bridge. The boy's mother, also 41, witnessed the tragic fall. Despite being rushed to Kuala Kangsar Hospital, the child was pronounced dead at 7.40 pm.

Charan revealed that the victim was the youngest of five siblings and that the family was in Kuala Kangsar on holiday. They had visited Victoria Bridge as part of their exploration of the area. The incident has been classified as a sudden death, and further investigations are currently under way.
