Kuala Lumpur: Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi announced a significant development as the Rural Entrepreneurs Carnival (KUD), FELDA Settler’s Day (HPF), and the One District One Industry (SDSI) Showcase are set to merge into a single, grand-scale event.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, Ahmad Zahid, who also serves as the Rural and Regional Development Minister, revealed that the decision emerged from a coordination meeting he chaired for the three events. The date for the upcoming mega event is yet to be announced.
Ahmad Zahid noted that in previous years, KUD, HPF, and SDSI have been highly anticipated by the community, particularly by stakeholders and those with vested interests in the missions of each respective organization. He expressed optimism on his Facebook page, stating, “Insya-Allah, today’s meeting will lead to the consolidation of these three carnivals into one grand event, which will not only be more vibrant, but also deliver a far greater impact than the separate events held in the past.”
The Rural Entrepreneurs Carnival (KUD) has been an important platform for local entrepreneurs to present their products. Meanwhile, FELDA Settler’s Day (HPF) has celebrated the contributions of FELDA settlers, and the One District One Industry (SDSI) Showcase has promoted industries across various districts.
