Terengganu: Terengganu FC (TFC) import striker Yann Mabella will return to France for knee treatment, according to Terengganu Football Club Sdn Bhd (TFCSB).

According to BERNAMA News Agency, TFCSB chief executive officer Sheikh Farouk Sheikh Mohamed Al-Balraj announced that the 29-year-old player has been diagnosed with a chronic meniscus and medial collateral ligament injury. This condition requires specialised treatment and close monitoring by an orthopaedic specialist.

Sheikh Farouk stated that TFCSB had granted Mabella a period from yesterday until January 31 next year for treatment and recovery. The striker is expected to return to Terengganu on February 1 for assessment by the club’s medical team.

‘Mabella has reached an agreement with the club regarding further treatment for his injury. He has agreed to all the conditions outlined in the legal documents,” explained Sheikh Farouk. “Based on the assessment and the need for specialised care, the club has allowed him to return to France to undergo treatment and monitoring by specialist doctors there,’ he told Bernama today.

TFCSB remains committed to ensuring that players receive the necessary treatment to perform optimally for the team. Sheikh Farouk also encouraged the Turtles’ supporters to pray for the top scorer’s good health.
