TFC Aims for Top-Five Finish in Upcoming Super League

Kuala terengganu: Terengganu FC (TFC) are targeting a top-five finish in the Super League, which kicks off this Saturday. Terengganu Football Club Sdn Bhd acting chief executive officer Mohd Syahrizan Mohd Zain stated that the Turtles had set a realistic target in light of the anticipated intensified competition from the teams participating this season.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, Mohd Syahrizan highlighted that the team appears stronger this season due to its coaching line-up and experienced foreign players, who are expected to positively impact the Turtles squad. "The head coach may have his own personal target, but the management is targeting a top-five finish because we found that the preparations of many teams such as Star City, Kuching City FC and Selangor competing this season have been very good," he said. He expressed hope for better results than last season, asserting the squad's improved quality and confidence.

Mohd Syahrizan also disclosed that the club had secured sponsorships worth approximately RM3 million from 19 companies in the form of cash, goods, and services to cover the team's expenses this season. He welcomed further sponsorships from companies to enhance the operations and management of the Turtles squad. "The total sponsorship is not much different from last season. Most of the sponsors are the same companies that continue to believe in the team's reputation and capabilities. We greatly appreciate their support and hope to repay their trust with good results," he noted.

Additionally, Mohd Syahrizan mentioned that TFC is focusing more on developing business activities to generate revenue for the team, including producing their own branded jerseys. He also anticipated that 15,000 spectators would attend the first match at Sultan Mizan Zainal Abidin Stadium (SSMZA) this Saturday.
