Kuantan: The Tengku Mahkota of Pahang, Tengku Hassanal Ibrahim Alam Shah, has urged Muslims to strengthen their connections, enhance their acts of worship, and embrace the spirit of sacrifice for religion, race, and country during the month of Zulhijjah.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, Tengku Hassanal emphasized that Zulhijjah is an opportune time for Muslims to increase their prayers, engage in 'zikir' (remembrance), and partake in charitable deeds. He advocated for a reduction in excessive entertainment and events that could detract from the sanctity of the month.
Tengku Hassanal also highlighted the importance of fostering the spirit of sacrifice to resolve disputes and misunderstandings within the Muslim community, particularly among the Malay community. This sentiment echoes the recent Aidiladha messages from the Sultan of Selangor, Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah, and the Sultan of Pahang, Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri'ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah. His Highness emphasized the necessity of maintaining unity and harmony among the country's diverse races, noting that a nation's strength is rooted in mutual respect and understanding.
Furthermore, the post on the Pahang Sultanate's Facebook page mentioned that Tengku Hassanal consented to perform Friday prayers at the Tunku Azizah Iskandar Mosque in Kampung Baru, Bentong.
