Kota bharu: The TikTok Shop LIVE Hub in Kota Bharu, Kelantan, has been officially launched through a strategic collaboration between TikTok Shop and TEKUN Nasional to empower local micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs). This marks the fourth TikTok Shop LIVE Hub in Malaysia, following successful rollouts in Sabah, Kuala Lumpur, and Johor.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, Nur Azre Abdul Aziz, Senior Director of Strategic Partnerships at TikTok Shop Malaysia, stated that the launch of the hub in Kelantan underscores their commitment to building an inclusive digital ecosystem. Nearly RM3 million has been invested since last year for developing TikTok Shop LIVE Hubs across six states in Malaysia. The support from TEKUN Nasional has been instrumental in providing the necessary infrastructure to help MSMEs master livestreaming.
Datuk Adam bin Abd Ghani, Chief Executive Officer of TEKUN Nasional, highlighted that the initiative is more than just providing a physical space. It is a strategic collaboration to ensure local entrepreneurs can produce competitive content and drive economic impact. The partnership with TikTok Shop is vital in ensuring Kelantan's MSMEs stay competitive in the digital economy. He expressed confidence that TikTok Shop's ecosystem will continue to foster growth and support entrepreneurs in building resilient brands.
The TikTok Shop LIVE Hub in Kelantan offers access to two fully equipped studios with advanced production tools, including high-resolution monitors, green screens, and noise-cancelling microphones. These facilities aim to help local entrepreneurs generate income and enhance their online businesses within the TikTok Shop ecosystem.
Additionally, consultation sessions, technical support, and high-speed internet access are available to accelerate digital adoption among local MSMEs. These services are designed to support entrepreneurs throughout their digital transformation journey, facilitating easier connections with online shoppers nationwide.
In conjunction with the launch, TikTok Shop and TEKUN Nasional have trained more than 120 Kelantan-based entrepreneurs through promotional and e-commerce workshops. These entrepreneurs collectively generated over RM500,000 in sales within three months following the programme.
