Kuala lumpur: The arrival of an Orang Asli teenager in a serious bleeding condition at a clinic led to the discovery of a baby’s body in RPS Kemar, Gerik.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, Perak police chief Datuk Noor Hisam Nordin stated that the police were alerted by the staff of the RPS Kemar Health Clinic at around 5.30 pm concerning the incident. The 18-year-old, upon examination, admitted to having recently given birth.

The teenager revealed that she delivered the baby by herself at home and later disposed of the infant behind her residence. Following this disclosure, the police conducted further investigations at the site, where they found the baby, who was confirmed deceased.

The case is currently under investigation under Section 318 of the Penal Code, which pertains to the concealment of a birth.
