Tanco Holdings Bhd Affirms Stability Despite Share Price Fluctuations

Tanco: Tanco Holdings Bhd announced that its business fundamentals remain stable despite recent fluctuations in its share price, which led Bursa Malaysia Securities Bhd (Bursa Securities) to issue an Unusual Market Activity (UMA) query. The company, listed on the Main Market, confirmed that its announced projects, including ongoing property developments, the Smart AI Container Port, and the Port Dickson Free Zone in Negeri Sembilan, continue to progress as planned. According to BERNAMA News Agency, Tanco stated that these projects are advancing in accordance with their regulatory, technical, financing, and commercial milestones. The company reassured property purchasers that no development projects have been canceled or suspended due to the current market trading activity. Tanco also addressed the UMA query from Bursa Securities, confirming that, after thorough inquiries with its board of directors and major shareholders, it is not aware of any undisclosed corporate developments that could explain the recen t trading patterns. The company emphasized that the rapid and significant decline in its share price is unusual, as its core businesses, major projects, and contracts remain solid, and it has complied with market disclosure requirements. On June 8, Tanco received an UMA query from Bursa Securities following a 29.56 percent decrease in its share price, dropping 47 sen to RM1.12, with 30.49 million shares traded.
