TalentCorp Unveils New Categories for Life at Work Awards 2025

Kuala Lumpur: Talent Corporation Malaysia Berhad (TalentCorp) today launched the Life at Work Awards 2025 (LAWA 2025), introducing three new categories in conjunction with the 10th anniversary of the awards. This initiative aims to recognise various parties’ efforts in enhancing progressive and inclusive workplace practices across Malaysia.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, the three new categories introduced are Future Universities and Colleges; Future Schools; and Change Catalysts. TalentCorp chairman Wong Shu Qi highlighted that the introduction of these categories is intended to expand recognition for the education sector, which plays a pivotal role in shaping future talent.

Wong stated, “LAWA 2025 is aimed at driving change, not only by recognising sustainability and inclusivity efforts in the industry but also by expanding recognition to schools and universities.” She made this remark during the LAWA 2025 launch event held today.

Meanwhile, TalentCorp group chief executive officer Thomas Mathew remarked that since its inception in 2013, LAWA has acted as a catalyst for organisations striving to cultivate a balanced and positive work culture. “Through workplace practices that support work-life balance, we can enhance workforce well-being, strengthen productivity, and cultivate an inclusive and sustainable work culture,” he explained.

Themed ‘Driving Inclusivity, Empowering Sustainability’, the LAWA 2025 edition will feature competitions across 13 categories. Applications for LAWA 2025 will be accepted from June 20 to August 3, 2025, with judging sessions scheduled for August and September. The awards ceremony is expected to take place in October this year.

It is noteworthy that LAWA was not held for two years during the COVID-19 pandemic.
