Pinang tunggal: The sport utility vehicle (SUV) involved in a road accident that resulted in the deaths of six family members had just been purchased and delivered earlier today.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, the vehicle, a Proton X50, was owned by Ahmad Fahim Ahmad Shukri, 21, but was being driven by his brother, Ahmad Shafiq, 27, at the time of the tragic accident.
Ibrahim Ghazali, 39, a family member, revealed that his son, Iskandar Arfan, aged seven, was traveling with Ahmad Fahim, Ahmad Shafiq, and four other family members to Merbok to visit a grave when the incident took place. Earlier in the day, they had stopped at Ibrahim's house in Bertam Putra, Penang, to pick up Iskandar, who was excited to ride in the new SUV.
Tragically, Ahmad Fahim, Ahmad Shafiq, and young Iskandar were among those who died in the collision with a lorry at approximately 3.45 pm. The crash also claimed the lives of Ibrahim's mother-in-law, Nora Mhd Husin, 55, Jamaliah Sannusi, 27, and a six-month-old baby whose identity and gender remain unconfirmed. A three-year-old girl, another family member, sustained serious injuries in the crash.
