Kuala Lampur:Sultan of Selangor, Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah, has received the Keris Jubli Perak, a ceremonial keris crafted to mark his 25th year on the throne.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, the keris was commissioned to honor Sultan Sharafuddin's appreciation for Malay keris art, heritage, and traditions. The project was led by the Rafulin Foundation and involved skilled artisans, including Datuk Dr Abdul Muati Zamri Ahmad, Datuk Wan Burhanuddin Wan Hassan, and Datuk Mohamed Raffe Chekku.

The keris measures 25 inches to symbolize 25 years of Sultan Sharafuddin's reign. Its design includes seven types of iron for strength, the White Eagle element for courage and authority, and Black Healer wood to connect Malay heritage with traditional beliefs. Buffalo horn is used to represent resilience and craftsmanship refinement.
Nine gemstones are embedded in the keris to signify the nine districts of Selangor, while 25 chevron-shaped motifs commemorate the Sultan's journey and aspirations for the future. The keris reflects the richness of Malay heritage and the dedication of artisans in preserving keris craftsmanship for future generations.
