Shah Alam:Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah of Selangor met with current and former Selangor Menteris Besar, including Dr Mohamad Khir Toyo, Datuk Seri Mohamed Azmin Ali, and Datuk Seri Amirudin Shari, in a special gathering after a religious ceremony at Sultan Salahuddin Abdul Aziz Shah Mosque.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, the meeting coincided with the Silver Jubilee celebration of Sultan Sharafuddin's 25-year reign and included the recitation of Yasin, tahlil, and prayers for safety. This event underscored the Sultan's concern for the state's future and the welfare of its people, highlighting the strong relationship between the royal institution and the state's current and past administrative leadership.
The Sultan advised political leaders to avoid conflicts and power struggles that could cause divisions. He urged them to focus on the state's development, the people's well-being, and the welfare of those in need. His Royal Highness stressed the importance of cooperation across different political ideologies for the state's benefit.
Sultan Sharafuddin emphasized that leadership should be exercised with trustworthiness, prioritizing the people's interests over personal or political goals. He also reminded leaders that Selangor's progress must be accompanied by societal harmony and administrative stability, advocating for mutual respect and constructive dialogue to resolve differences.
