Kuala kangsar: The Sultan of Perak, Sultan Nazrin Shah, has urged traders at the Kuala Kangsar Arena Ramadan Bazaar to reduce the sugar content in their food items. His Highness offered this advice while browsing stalls offering sweet treats such as chocolate-flavored donuts during his visit to the bazaar this evening.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, Sultan Nazrin was accompanied by the Raja Permaisuri of Perak, Tuanku Zara Salim, during the visit. Their arrival at 5.17 pm was warmly welcomed by Kuala Kangsar district officer Azrul Sani Ibrahim and Kuala Kangsar district police chief ACP Heisham Harun.
The royal couple spent approximately 20 minutes interacting with traders and visitors at the bazaar. Many visitors seized the chance to capture pictures and selfies with the Sultan and the Raja Permaisuri.
In addition to dispensing advice, Sultan Nazrin purchased some iftar foods, including kueh ketayap, curry puffs, and apam balik, before departing around 5.40 pm.
