Sultan Nazrin Inaugurates Al-Muhajirin Mosque In Chemor

Chemor: The Sultan of Perak, Sultan Nazrin Shah, officiated the opening of the Al-Muhajirin Mosque in Kampung Ulu Chepor, Chemor here tonight. His Royal Highness arrived at about 8.20 pm and was received by Perak Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Saarani Mohamad and State Secretary Datuk Ahmad Suaidi Abdul Rahim.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, the event was also attended by Perak Islamic Religious and Malay Customs Council president Tan Sri Mohd Annuar Zaini and Perak Islamic Religious Department director Datuk Harith Fadzilah Abdul Halim. Sultan Nazrin joined congregants in Aidiladha takbir recitations and performed Isyak prayers with about 400 worshippers before departing at 9.15 pm.

The Al-Muhajirin Mosque was fully constructed by March 2025 and has been operational since then. Built at a cost of RM6 million on a 1.9-hectare site, the mosque can accommodate up to 1,200 worshippers at any one time. It adopts a sustainable concept, with the mosque compound planted with crops such as coconut, matoa, and lemongrass.
