Serdang: The Sultan of Perak, Sultan Nazrin Shah, today attended the Malaysia Agriculture, Horticulture and Agrotourism (MAHA) Exhibition 2026 at the Malaysia Agro Exposition Park Serdang (MAEPS). Joining him were the Raja Permaisuri of Perak, Tuanku Zara Salim, and Raja Kecil Besar, Raja Azlan Muzzaffar Shah.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, Sultan Nazrin's arrival at 10:45 am was warmly welcomed by Perak Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Saarani Mohamad, Perak State Legislative Assembly Speaker Datuk Seri Mohammad Zahir Abdul Khalid, and Ministry of Agriculture and Food Security secretary-general Datuk Seri Isham Ishak. During their visit, Sultan Nazrin, Tuanku Zara, and Raja Azlan explored several booths at the Perak Pavilion, which featured products from the state.
Their Royal Highnesses engaged with exhibitors and entrepreneurs, further visiting the Laman Padi and Laman Herba pavilions. The 101st edition of MAHA is scheduled to run for 10 days, from August 28 to September 6. This biennial event serves as a significant platform for the agricultural sector in Malaysia, bringing together industry players, government agencies, entrepreneurs, and educational institutions to showcase innovation, technology, and business prospects within the agrifood sector.
