Ipoh: The Sultan of Perak, Sultan Nazrin Shah, and the Raja Permaisuri of Perak, Tuanku Zara Salim, graced the 55th National Teachers' Day Celebration dinner at Hotel Casuarina. The event saw the presence of esteemed guests, including the Raja Muda of Perak, Raja Jaafar Raja Muda Musa, and the Raja Di Hilir of Perak, Raja Iskandar Dzulkarnain Sultan Idris Shah.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, the royal couple arrived at 8.36 pm, accompanied by Perak Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Saarani Mohamad and his wife Datin Seri Aezer Zubin. Other notable attendees included Education Minister Fadhlina Sidek, Deputy Education Minister Wong Kah Woh, and Education Ministry Secretary-General Datuk Wan Hashim Wan Rahim.

In her speech, Fadhlina emphasized the need for the national education system to adapt to rapid global changes. She highlighted the Malaysia Education Blueprint (RPM) 2026-2035 as a roadmap to advance the education system, ensuring it meets future needs. The framework focuses on knowledge mastery, character building, emerging technologies, and bilingual proficiency.

Fadhlina further elaborated on the School Curriculum 2027, which aims to strengthen the Malay language and History as foundational subjects of national identity. The curriculum also seeks to expand access to early childhood education from age five. These initiatives, she stated, are driven by the commitment to maintain a relevant and progressive education system that offers equal opportunities to all Malaysians.
