Kluang: Police have arrested a 19-year-old college student and her boyfriend, both of the same age, as part of an investigation into the murder of a newborn baby girl. The baby was found with multiple stab wounds at a rented house in Taman Setia Mutiara, Kluang.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, Johor Police Chief Datuk Ab Rahaman Arsad reported that the police received a report at 1 pm after the woman was admitted to Enche Besar Hajjah Khalsom Hospital following childbirth. Initial investigations revealed that the baby girl was discovered by a lecturer in the toilet bowl of the rented house.
During a press conference at the Johor Police Headquarters, Arsad stated that while examining the student at the hospital, doctors found a second baby, a twin, still in the student's womb. Fortunately, this baby was delivered safely.
Additionally, a seven-day remand order against the boyfriend has been issued by the Kluang Magistrate Court to aid further investigations. The case is being pursued under Section 302 of the Penal Code for murder and Section 315 for the unlawful attempt of abortion.
