Papua new guinea: A strong 6.5-magnitude earthquake struck the Papua New Guinea region at 6.31 pm today.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, the Malaysian Meteorological Department stated that the earthquake occurred 43 km north of Goroka, with a depth of 10 km. It was further clarified that there is no tsunami threat to Malaysia following the seismic event.
