Kuala lumpur: Premium health supplement brand Spring Health is set to launch a new maternal wellness supplement line called ‘Bloomwell’, aimed at supporting the health of both mother and child from pre-pregnancy through postpartum.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, Pharma Spring Sdn Bhd chief executive officer Amy Chong stated that the company invested over two years in research and development before introducing the Bloomwell range, which comprises four products formulated with essential vitamins and docosahexaenoic acid (DHA). “We developed these supplements to provide optimal support during the first 1,000 days – from the planning stage before pregnancy to postnatal care. It starts with folic acid combined with choline, ideal for women preparing to conceive,” she explained at the 32nd International Congress of the Obstetrical and Gynaecological Society of Malaysia (OGSM) at the Setia Spice Convention Centre today.
Chong highlighted the importance of folic acid, which plays a crucial role in producing up to 3.7 million cells, aiding the mother’s body function efficiently and safeguarding both mother and baby during pregnancy. The second product in the range is a probiotic supplement designed to alleviate constipation, a common issue during the second trimester. The third product is a prenatal supplement enriched with vitamins, minerals, and DHA, delivered in a sugar-free plant protein shake. The fourth, a lactation supplement, offers benefits for both mother and baby after birth.
“All our products are approved by the Ministry of Health (MOH), and we plan to officially launch them in Kuala Lumpur on August 24. For now, we’re showcasing the range at expos to create public awareness,” Chong noted. She added that the company is collaborating with obstetricians, gynaecologists, and private hospitals to introduce Bloomwell to women planning to conceive. “Our goal is to support women from pre-pregnancy through postpartum, and to raise awareness about the importance of maintaining both physical and emotional well-being,” she added.
Spring Health currently offers a wide range of supplements, available in over 100 pharmacies nationwide.
