South Korea’s Jeju-Seoul Gimpo Becomes World’s Busiest Airline Route in 2025

Jeju: South Korea's Jeju (CJU) to Seoul Gimpo (GMP) route has been named the world's busiest airline route for 2025, according to the latest data from OAG, a leading data platform for the global travel industry. The route has achieved this status with 14.4 million seats scheduled for the year.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, the analysis from OAG is based on its Global Airline Schedules Data, which provides an in-depth overview of global route performance and emerging trends. The report highlights that the Jeju to Seoul Gimpo route has experienced a 1% increase in seat capacity compared to 2024. However, despite this growth, the route still falls 17% short of reaching its 2019 capacity levels.

The Jeju to Seoul Gimpo route remains highly competitive, with seven different carriers operating flights on this popular corridor. The data suggests that there is still potential for further growth on this route as it works to regain its pre-pandemic capacity.
