SK FELDA Kota Gelanggi 1 Building Reconstruction Completed 310 Days Early

Kuala lumpur: The reconstruction of a dilapidated building at Sekolah Kebangsaan (SK) FELDA Kota Gelanggi 1 has been completed 310 days ahead of schedule, providing students with more comfortable and conducive learning facilities. Works Minister Datuk Seri Alexander Nanta Linggi announced the completion of the RM7.998 million project, highlighting it as a testament to efficient government project execution.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, the project commenced on January 13 of the previous year, reaching completion on June 26, significantly ahead of the original completion date set for May 2, 2027. This achievement marks an impressive milestone, completing the project nearly a year in advance, or more than 300 days ahead, without any need for an extension of time (EOT).

The project included the construction of a new academic block featuring three classrooms, a science room, and a health room. Additionally, a Special Education Integration Programme (PPKI) block was established, equipped with facilities catering to the needs of pupils with special educational requirements. Datuk Seri Alexander Nanta Linggi noted that 17 students with special educational needs would benefit from these new facilities.

He further mentioned that several other construction and upgrading projects targeting dilapidated buildings in Pahang are currently in progress, with hopes of similar early completions. In his address, Nanta emphasized the importance of addressing complaints regarding defects during the defect liability period (DLP) promptly and effectively.

'The Public Works Department must continue its post-handover monitoring to ensure that all facilities remain safe, in good condition, and meet the required standards,' Nanta stated.
