Kelantan: Six climbers who participated in the Trans Gerah Expedition in Gunung Gerah, Kelantan, and were found safe yesterday after being reported missing while climbing the mountain on August 29, have safely left Pos Kemar this morning.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, the director of the Perak Fire and Rescue Department (JBPM), Datuk Sayani Saidon, stated that the climbers, Wan Ahmad Aslam Wan Zairudin, 39, his wife Siti Zulaiha Norizan, 39, their children Diya Raisha, 13, and Ahmad Raef, 9, along with two mountain guides, Shafiee Sidek, 49, and Hazman Mamat, 43, departed Pos Kemar at 8:30 am and arrived at Trojan Jetty, Tasik Banding at 10:20 am.

"All the victims and the SAR (search and rescue) team arrived safely at Pos Kemar at approximately 9:15 pm last night. All the victims underwent a health check-up by medical officers at the Pos Kemar Health Clinic and rested at the facility," noted Datuk Sayani Saidon. They were subsequently taken to the Gerik IPD by police for documentation and further action.

Previously, the six individuals were located safely last night before being taken for medical assessment at the Pos Kemar Health Clinic. Initially, the group had been reported missing following their failure to exit the forest as planned on September 3, prompting family members to file a police report on Sunday.
