Singapore Launches Standards And Conformance 2035 Roadmap To Boost Global Competitiveness

Singapore: Singapore has unveiled the Standards and Conformance (SandC) 2035 roadmap to guide businesses in competing and growing in an increasingly complex global environment.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, the roadmap is anchored on three strategic pillars that will shape the next phase of Singapore's SandC development. Enterprise Singapore (EnterpriseSG) stated that these pillars focus on driving economic growth, building a future-ready ecosystem, and strengthening Singapore's role as a trusted partner in regional and global SandC ecosystems.

"Singapore's success has depended on being connected to the world. But geopolitical tensions, fragmenting trade rules, and rapid technological changes are reshaping cross-border flows of goods, people, capital, and data," said EnterpriseSG. In this environment, a robust SandC ecosystem acts as critical infrastructure for trust and interoperability in global trade, according to Singapore's enterprise development agency.

The SandC 2035 roadmap also aims at strengthening public health and safety, sustainability, business resilience, and digital trust. For businesses, SandC is considered a growth lever enabling earlier market access, stronger supply chain resilience, and greater credibility with international partners.

The roadmap was announced by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Trade and Industry Gan Kim Yong during the SandC gala dinner on Thursday.
