Sihat Malaysia 2025: Over 1,000 Families Unite At Eco Galleria To Support Neonatal Care

Iskandar puteri: More than 1,000 families gathered at Eco Galleria, Iskandar Puteri over the long Merdeka weekend in support of a vital cause under the ‘Sihat Malaysia 2025: Mission 1000 – Family Hearts for Little Lives’ initiative, aimed at improving neonatal care for premature babies.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, the event, held from August 29 to September 1, featured a mix of health-inspired activities, family bonding experiences, and festive celebrations, while raising funds to procure an Intensive Care Infant Incubator for the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) at Hospital Sultan Ismail (HSI). Participation fees of RM30 per family group were collected, resulting in a total of RM42,950 raised for the cause.

The funds were presented to Cheah Mun Wei, Co-Founder of the Pregnancy, Breastfeeding, Parenting Group, during a mock cheque presentation ceremony on September 1 by Divisional General Manager, Eco South Phan Yan Chan. These funds will be deposited into Alpro Pharmacy under its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative, which will manage the procurement and direct delivery of the incubator to HSI. Any funding shortfall will be covered by EcoWorld.

Phan Yan Chan stated, “At EcoWorld, we believe in creating lasting impact through initiatives that touch lives. Through Mission 1,000, we are not only bringing families together but also helping premature babies receive the critical medical care they urgently need.” This initiative is part of the AnakAnakMalaysia (AAM) campaign, themed Sihat Malaysia, which promotes unity, wellness, and community spirit.

Event highlights included the Time Attack Family Challenge with eight interactive stations, the Parent-Child Healthy Cooking Contest, an Eco Bucket Drum Workshop, Shrink Art and Face Painting, and an Amateur Talent Challenge. Attendees also enjoyed the Merdeka Fiesta Market, live busking performances, and the Malaysia Vibes Night, contributing to an atmosphere of joy, national pride, and community bonding.

Sihat Malaysia 2025 is a flagship programme under EcoWorld’s AnakAnakMalaysia 2025 campaign in conjunction with Merdeka and Malaysia Day. This programme reflects the Group’s commitment to building healthier, stronger, and more connected communities. By combining wellness, family fun, and philanthropy, Mission 1,000 demonstrates the power of collective action in making a meaningful difference to the lives of Malaysia’s most vulnerable – its premature newborns.
