Sarawak: Chief Secretary to the Government Tan Sri Shamsul Azri Abu Bakar has extended his condolences and sympathies to the families, friends, and colleagues of the Health Ministry healthcare personnel and Flying Doctor Service (FDS) crew who were killed in the helicopter crash at the Long Lellang Short Take-Off and Landing Airport (STOLport) in Ulu Baram, Sarawak. In a post on social media platform X today, Shamsul Azri also prayed that the services and sacrifices they made for the health and well-being of the community would continue to be rewarded as lasting good deeds.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, Shamsul Azri expressed his heartfelt sentiments, stating, "My thoughts and prayers are with the families and next of kin of the victims. May they be granted strength and patience in facing this tragedy." The incident occurred yesterday afternoon when a helicopter carrying the FDS crew crashed near the Long Lellang STOLport runway.
