Seven M-League Clubs Finalize Document Submissions for AFC and National Licences

Kuala lumpur: Seven Malaysia League clubs have completed document submissions for the national and Asian Football Confederation (AFC) licences as of the final date set, April 30. First Instance Body (FIB) chairman Sheikh Mohd Nasir Sheikh Mohd Sharif confirmed the completion of submissions by Johor Darul Ta'zim (JDT) FC, Selangor FC, Sabah FC, Terengganu FC, Penang FC, Kuching City FC, and Negeri Sembilan FC.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, aside from the seven clubs, the FIB has also received applications for national licences from Imigresen FC, Kuala Lumpur City FC, Melaka FC, PDRM FC, and Kelantan The Real Warriors FC. Several clubs have requested extensions to finalize their documentation.

Sheikh Mohd Nasir stated that four Amateur Football League (AFL) A1 League clubs-Armed Forces FC, Bunga Raya FC, Kelantan Red Warrior FC, and UM Damansara United FC-have applied for Extraordinary National Licences. Other clubs have also sought extensions to complete their documentation.

The FIB has set May 14, 2026, as the final date for the 2025-2026 cycle for clubs to complete their licence documentation. DPMM FC, a foreign club from Brunei Darussalam participating in the Malaysia League by invitation, is exempt from applying for a national licence due to its status as an invited team.

The FIB committee meeting to decide on licences has been postponed to May 20, while the Appeal Body committee meeting is scheduled for May 29 to handle any appeal processes. The FIB will assess all applications transparently and based on licence criteria. Final decisions on club licence statuses will be announced after the assessment process and meeting conclusions.
