Kuala lumpur: The Sultan of Selangor, Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah, and the Tengku Permaisuri of Selangor, Tengku Permaisuri Norashikin, graced the Kuala Lumpur International Book Fair (KLIBF) 2026 here today. The Royal Highnesses' arrival at the World Trade Centre Kuala Lumpur (WTCKL) at 3.30 pm was welcomed by WTCKL Group managing director Datuk Seri Dr Irmohizam Ibrahim.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, also gracing the event was the Tengku Laksamana of Selangor, Tengku Sulaiman Shah Almarhum Sultan Salahuddin. Sultan Sharafuddin and Tengku Permaisuri Norashikin spent some time visiting the exhibition booths and posed for photographs with visitors before leaving at about 5.30 pm.

The 10-day KLIBF 2026, which began today, features the participation of hundreds of local and foreign publishers, involving over 1,000 booths. The book fair is open to the public from 10 am to 10 pm.
