Shah Alam: The Selangor state government will summon the management of a renowned theme park in Shah Alam after an incident where a visitor was injured by a float that fell from a glass water slide on Wednesday. Selangor Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Amirudin Shari stated that the meeting aims to address several questions about safety before the theme park’s latest attraction can resume operations.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, Amirudin mentioned, “For now, it isn’t operating. If they can fulfill the specifications set by the Shah Alam City Council (MBSA) and we review their newest safety aspects in their next application, then it will resume operations.” He made these remarks after attending the Selangor level Thaiponggal 2025 festivities.
The MBSA had confirmed in a statement yesterday that nine notices were issued against the theme park, including three warnings on November 14, 2024, and one on January 19.
