Baku:Sarawak Nearly 30,000 Year Six pupils across Sarawak will receive six free learning books starting next January. This initiative is aimed at enhancing their proficiency in Mathematics, English, and Science.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, Sarawak Deputy Minister for Education, Innovation and Talent Development Datuk Dr Annuar Rapaee detailed that the initiative includes topic-based modules and exercise books tailored to examination formats. Dr Annuar also highlighted the role of assessments in helping parents understand their children's academic mastery and in allowing teachers to compare performances across schools, thus encouraging healthy competition. He advocated for the use of digital tools, such as interactive smartboards, to boost pupils' interest and understanding in Science and Mathematics.

Additionally, Dr Annuar encouraged headmasters, especially those in rural areas, to assist pupils in exploring opportunities to continue their education at Yayasan Sarawak international school, which offers an international curriculum.
