Kuala Lumpur: Sapura Energy Bhd (SEB) stated it has not been contacted by the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) concerning investigations into alleged bribery and fund misappropriation involving the company.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, SEB expressed its commitment to cooperating with the MACC and assured that it will provide any required information. SEB emphasized its dedication to upholding high standards of corporate governance, transparency, and integrity in all its operations, as a responsible, publicly listed entity.
The company acknowledged the importance of keeping stakeholders informed and committed to providing updates as necessary when there are pertinent developments. The statement comes in the wake of news reports that the MACC has initiated two probes into alleged misconduct involving SEB.
