Sabah FA Clinches National Women’s League Title with Last-Minute Victory

Kuala Lumpur:Sabah FA successfully defended their National Women's League (LWN) title by narrowly defeating Selangor FC 1-0 in the 2026 season final at the Kuala Lumpur Football Stadium.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, American import striker Enzi Hekima Starks Broussard became the match-winner for Sabah with a decisive goal in the closing minutes, securing their third LWN title. Sabah had previously won the prestigious competition in 2023 and 2025.

The match saw Sabah dominating the first half, with Enzi Hekima's free-kick being tipped away by Selangor's goalkeeper Nurdiana Syafiqah Mohd Rostam in the 21st minute. Nurdiana continued her excellent performance by stopping a close-range attempt from defender Juliana Barek in the 38th minute.

In the second half, Selangor increased their attacking efforts and nearly scored when substitute Yeo Menji's shot in the 69th minute drifted wide of the goal. However, it was Sabah who eventually broke the deadlock with a long-range shot by Enzi Hekima, which was mishandled by Nurdiana Syafiqah, ensuring the championship for Bobby Gonzales's team just before the end of regular time.
