Kota kinabalu: Sabah Chief Minister Datuk Seri Hajiji Noor has hailed the success of Gabungan Rakyat Sabah (GRS) in the 17th Sabah State Election (PRN) as a triumph for the people of Sabah. Hajiji, who is also the GRS Chairman, expressed his gratitude to the citizens of Sabah for granting the coalition a new mandate to lead the state administration.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, Hajiji emphasized that the victory is a result of the shared vision, support, and aspirations of the people of Sabah for a brighter future. He acknowledged the trust placed in him and his colleagues in GRS to guide and serve as representatives once more. He noted that the people’s unwavering support and confidence in the coalition’s mission were pivotal to achieving this success.
Hajiji invited the populace to celebrate the GRS victory as a new chapter filled with purpose and determination for a better future. He highlighted GRS’s ongoing commitment to fostering change and progress through the Hala Tuju Sabah Maju Jaya (SMJ) development agenda, aimed at driving meaningful development and unity.
The Chief Minister reaffirmed GRS’s dedication to continuing the SMJ 2.0 blueprint, which focuses on the pillars: Sabah First, Sabah Forward, Sabah Prosper, and Sabah United. Hajiji assured the coalition’s commitment to tirelessly champion the hopes and aspirations of all Sabahans, emphasizing the importance of unity and collaboration.
Hajiji also expressed a desire for cooperation with political opponents, urging unity and collaboration for the betterment of Sabah. He called for building trust and working together to serve the people effectively.
After his swearing-in ceremony at Istana Seri Kinabalu, Hajiji expressed his gratitude and briefly addressed the media, acknowledging the completion of his swearing-in as Chief Minister.
Hajiji, aged 70, took his oath of office before the Head of State, Tun Musa Aman, at a ceremony held at Istana Seri Kinabalu at approximately 3:05 am.
